People came from all over the planet to be there, I say this without hyperbole. Perhaps you were there, perhaps you remember. We crammed into Grant Park like sardines, shoulder to shoulder and sometimes arm in arm.

We were nervous.
We were excited.

I made this photograph the minute the announcement exploded onto the jumbotron.
I made this photograph standing next to my wife with our daughter on my shoulders.
I made this photograph through my own tears.
